About Eastwood Charcoals

In 2004 Eastwood Charcoals celebrated 21 years of Golden Oldies, having been formed in 1983. Eastwood Charcoals has more than a dozen players with 100 games of Golden Oldies registered, entrenching the Charcoals as a senior Golden Oldies Club.

The Charcoals Golden Oldies provides rugby for the mature aged player from 35 years to 99 years of age, and the standard of rugby is played to suit whatever average age the Charcoals team fields on game days.

The Charcoals attended their first International Golden Oldies festival in 1983 and have attended all tournaments since. The festivals create a tremendous camaraderie among the participants, many of whom attend every festival playing on different teams for the thrill and friendship.
